So, do you think we should support this new audio controller for DJ-1800?
View the full information here (though it’s a bit slow).

You The DJ

Wednesday, June 15th, 2005

We’ve added a new section to the site - You The DJ. We want to hear about the coolest party you’ve played, the strangest location, and the best dancefloor you’ve ever had. We’re looking for more DJs to feature (and will of course add a link to your web site if you are […]

DJ-1800 on AudioScrobbler

Wednesday, June 15th, 2005

If you listen to a lot of music in iTunes, you might have come across AudioScrobbler - a site that tracks and displays what you’ve been listening to, in a free cool community kind of way. For example, you can see what I’ve been listening to lately (lots of Royksopp, mainly).
AudioScrobbler works via a […]

M-Audio FireWire 410
M-Audio […]

Saving your DJ sets - what’s the best way to keep them?

Saturday, June 11th, 2005

We’ve had quite a few requests for DJ-1800 to save or log the songs you’ve played in a DJ set. This has set me thinking about the best way to do this, so I thought I’d post my ideas and see what everyone thinks.
The quickest option would be for us to log the songs […]

X-Keys Stick

Thursday, June 9th, 2005

We’ve had an email from a chap called Doug, who mentioned that he uses a product from X-Keys as an extra controller with DJ-1800.
To quote Doug:
“I use the X-keys Stick - you program a macro to the various keys.”
“For example:

The two outside buttons (1 & 16) start decks 1 and 2 respectively
The two buttons […]

Wednesday, June 8th, 2005

Following Apple’s announcement that they are transitioning to Intel processors, we here at DJ-1800 would like to confirm that DJ-1800 for OS X will be developed for Intel-powered Macs, and a version of DJ-1800 will be ready for when the Intel Macs are first available.

“What should I play next?”

Wednesday, June 8th, 2005

As often happens, someone had a good idea in the pub. Specifically, it was Ben, and his idea was this:
“One of the hardest bits of DJing is knowing what to play next. Wouldn’t it be great if you could find out what other people have played straight after your currently-playing song? Then […]

Potential Control hardware for DJ-1800

Monday, June 6th, 2005

Quite often, we get requests from users asking us for support for particular control hardware in DJ-1800. This is something we’re looking to improve in an upcoming release.
We currently support a few audio controllers with DJ-1800, and have had specific requests for the following devices:

Kontrol-DJ
Hercules DJ Console
Evolution X-Session

So, we were wondering: are there any […]
