Create Digital Music have just posted a nice feature on the iPhone support in DJ-1800 v3.1, including a mini-interview with yours truly.
To quote CDM quoting myself:
The thinking behind the iPhone integration in DJ-1800 is that very often, DJs will have a request for a track they don’t own themselves. If the person making the request has the track on their iPhone - and the great thing about the iPhone is that people take them everywhere - then the DJ can just plug in the iPhone, and play the track from there. No more failed requests.
:)

We’ve just posted an updated release of DJ-1800 v3.0b4. This is of an old version of DJ-1800, from some time before the final release of DJ-1800 v3. However, we are aware that some users are tied to Mac OS X 10.3.9 for software compatibility reasons, and have come to rely on 3.0b4 for live performances. (v3.0b4 supported Mac OS 10.3.9, whereas v3.0.2 now requires Mac OS 10.4.9 or later.) So, as a courtesy to those users, we are keeping 3.0b4 available for a while longer until they are able to upgrade. Today’s re-release of 3.0b4 will expire on October 31st 2008. Apart from the beta expiry date change, there are no other changes in this release.

I forgot to mention this the other week, but we posted v3.1b6 on the 30th June. v3.1b6 fixed a bug with the VU level meters. Previously, adjusting the gain level for a channel would affect the output volumes for both master and cue (by adjusting the track volumes), but this wouldn’t be reflected on the master and cue VU displays. It is now.
We’ve actually re-uploaded v3.1b6 today, to fix a problem with the beta expiry date on non-European systems. You can download (or re-download) v3.1b6 from our betas page. Please do also read the beta history page for a complete list of updates and changes.

We have had reports of an audio problem when using DJ-1800 on Mac OS 10.4.11 on an Intel Mac.
The reported problem is that playing a track in DJ-1800 results in crackles and dropouts in the playing audio.
On further investigation, it turns out that this problem is caused by a recent AirPort Extreme software update from Apple, rather than a bug in DJ-1800. The problem is also affecting other audio applications, including Apple’s own GarageBand.
We have found a way to fix this problem on your Mac. We have put together a comprehensive FAQ about this problem, with full instructions for the fix. If you have any queries, or if you think this may affect your setup, please do read the FAQ for more information.
